From 2025/26, the new Alumni Scholarship will replace the Undergraduate to Postgraduate Waiver. If you are progressing from an International Foundation Diploma to an undergraduate programme or an undergraduate programme to a postgraduate programme, you will receive either a 25% or a 20% tuition fee scholarship, depending on your academic achievements.
Eligibility criteria
To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:
If you have achieved a 1st class honours in your undergraduate study (or 1st class honours equivalent in international foundation diploma), you will receive a 25% alumni scholarship.
If you not achieved a 1st class honours (or equivalent), you will receive a 20% alumni scholarship.
This scholarship is available to students’ first year of study only.

From 2025/26, all returning international students on an undergraduate programme will receive a £2,000 scholarship for their 2nd and 3rd years of study.

The generous Dean’s Award scholarships aim to recognise and support outstanding international students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to the betterment of society.

Discount of £1,000 on tuition fees for international students
Our International Scholarship Award is available for all new international students who are starting on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course of study at University College Birmingham (subject to eligibility criteria below), and where UCB receives the payment for the full deposit (50% of tuition fee) by 31 January 2025.
This scholarship entitles students to a £1,000 discount on the cost of tuition fees for the first year of study and is deducted upon enrolment.
A further discount of £1,000 on tuition fees for international students
We are offering a further £1,000 on tuition fees in the form of a discount for all new international students in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course of study at University College Birmingham. Therefore, the total scholarship available will be £2,000.
In order to be eligible for the further discount, UCB must receive your deposit deposit by 20 January 2025. The scholarship will be awarded automatically after the deadline, subject to the eligibility criteria below.

Our Sustainable Development Award is open for applications from new international students starting on a full-time postgraduate course (e.g. MA/MSc courses), offering a scholarship worth 25% of the first-year tuition fee.
Successful applicants will be required to report to a panel during their studies on how they are continuing to prioritise sustainability in their academic work, extracurricular engagement and post-study plans.
