Scholarships at Glasgow Caledonian University

With an increased thirst for solving the world's social problems, global businesses are looking for the right mix of critical, intellectually curious and entrepreneurial scholars and practitioners who are armed with the knowledge and mindset needed to tackle some of the world's most pressing problems, GCU are happy to announce that we have scholarships available which will be awarded on an overall assessment of merit and promise of the candidate, including their financial circumstances.

What you get

• GCU will cover £7,000 towards your tuition fee for the full-time MSc Social Innovation master's course commencing September.

Who can apply?

• Home, EU and Rest of UK students

• International Students

Applicants will be considered once you have applied for a place on the MSc Social Innovation full-time course and received an offer from GCU to study the programme.

Terms and Conditions

• You will be required to provide feedback on how the scholarship has helped you and take part in GCU scholarship recipient activities.

• One hour per week as a Unibuddy helping answer prospective students' questions about life at GCU.

The award is non-transferable to any other programme if you change your course to the one specified at the time of application.

This award cannot be deferred to any other academic session and will supersede any other award you have received as you can only receive one scholarship from GCU per year.

I understand that in order to administer my application, the University will process my information and submitting this application provides consent for GCU to do so.

Self-funding International students with the following nationalities: Bangladesh, Canada, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam, who study a full-time postgraduate taught course from the academic year September are eligible for a £3,500 scholarship in the form of a tuition fee discount.

From September 2026-27 academic year we will be adding the following  nationalities: Hong Kong & Singapore.

Terms and conditions

Please note this scholarship is only available to self-funded students and applies to your first year of study only. You are deemed to be a self-funded student if you are paying your tuition fees yourself or with support from a relative or friend,or an educational loan.

Student who are sponsored by and employer or company are not eligible for this discount and it will be removed.

Distance Learning or Part time and Research courses are not eligible for this discount

The Data Controller for this scholarship application is Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).

I understand that in order to administer my application, the University will process my information and submitting this application provides consent for GCU to do so.

All decisions that are made by GCU are full and final.

Full tuition fee scholarship for one-year master's programme

You must have an unconditional offer to study for a master's degree at GCU (Glasgow or London campus)  and be able to detail how you will cover your living costs in line with UKVI visa regulations.

If you have Indian, Nigerian, or Pakistani nationality and are applying for a full-time postgraduate course, you may be eligible for a tuition fee discount of up to £3,000. There is no need to apply for this scholarship as your eligibility will be assessed on application. The tuition fee scholarship will be applied at enrolment.

GCU Plus: Students with Indian, Nigerian and Pakistani nationality who have a strong academic background and statement of purpose, or who have a high score in one of the GCU-approved English Language tests, may also be eligible for an additional £1,000 scholarship in the form of a tuition fee discount.

These scholarships are available for on-campus study in Glasgow and London only.

The fee discounts are applicable to self-funded undergraduate international students only.

Undergraduate students receive £2,500 tuition fee discount towards their annual fees each year of their degree. Up to £10,000 for a four-year programme or £12,500 for a five-year programme
