The Bloomsbury Institute is a private Higher Education College, located in the centre of London in Bloomsbury. The Bloomsbury Institute deliver full-time UK higher education courses in Business and Computing at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including MBA, and are introducing law courses for the start of the 2014 academic year. Around half of their students are from outside the UK.
All degree courses are validated by the University of Northampton. There is a partnership with Birkbeck College, where all teaching takes place. Students have full access to Birkbeck College’s library and computer facilities. Students are also enrolled as associate members of ULU, providing them with access to social, recreational and sporting facilities and activities, which includes a discounted fee for use of the gym and swimming pool.
Specialised staff are available to help students with any non-academic issues that may arise, including information about how to open a UK bank account, apply for a discount on public transport, find their way around London or register with a local doctor. International students are provided with all the necessary support and advice throughout the visa application process.
The school can assist students in finding accommodation during their stay in London, using a network of professional accommodation organisations that specialise in placing students into suitable and affordable housing. The range of options includes single occupancy and shared accommodation in a choice of neighbourhoods in London. Different size requirements and all budgets are catered for. Partner organisations include Unite for students’ accommodation and Hosts International for home stays.
The Bloomsbury Institute’s head office and student facilities are spread around Bloomsbury – an upmarket, safe neighbourhood with many parks, shops, cafes and museums. Bloomsbury is also a student-friendly and vibrant area, and is the home to a number of higher education institutions, including some of the most prominent colleges in the UK and the central facilities of the University of London.
Goodge Street, Russell Square, Warren Street, Tottenham Court Road and Euston Square Underground stations are all nearby. The area is also well serviced by a number of bus routes, making LSBM easily accessible from all regions of London.
My counsellor contacted me every day throughout the application process and helped me receive an unconditional offer. I am so grateful to SI-UK and will never forget them. I will study very hard as I feel this is the best reward I can give the whole team.
