Rob Grimshaw joins SI-UK as company CEO

SI-UK are delighted to announce that Rob Grimshaw is joining SI-UK as its first CEO.

Rob is an experienced CEO with a 15-year track record of leading businesses in education, legal services and digital publishing.

The education sector is Rob’s passion, and he spent six years from 2014 to 2020 transforming the ed tech company Tes Global and its then subsidiary, Times Higher Education & World University Rankings. He loves the positive impact that successful businesses in the education sector can have on the world.

Whilst running FT.com, the digital division of the Financial Times, from 2008-2014, Rob developed a reputation for innovation. He led the introduction of a new business model that sparked rapid growth in revenues and subscribers. At Tes, he continued to break new ground by reshaping the business into a platform for various software services for schools and teachers. In his most recent role at Simply, he has focused on supporting growth by optimising workflows and improving productivity and client service. He loves the challenge of finding ways to help businesses expand.

As part of the changes, Dwayne Gallagher's title and role will change from SI-UK Managing Director to SI-Global Chairman. Orion Judge will continue as an SI-UK Global Director, with both Dwayne and Orion also sitting on the Board of Directors for SI-Global.

Dwayne Gallagher, SI-Global Chairman, said of the appointment: “I am delighted that Rob is joining SI-Global as its first ever CEO following on from key CFO and CPO appointments over the last 3 months.

“Rob will be bringing a wealth of experience to the company at a time when we are moving multi-destination,  demand to study abroad continues year after year to reach record highs, and we face the competitive environment of aggregates and new technology.  Rob will be instrumental in ensuring the SI-Global brand and business continues to grow on a global scale ahead and above all others in the sector.”

Rob has long experience in international businesses and loves working with people from different cultures. He likes to build open, enthusiastic teams that embrace ambitious goals and collaborate to solve problems. Delivering for clients and partners is always his priority, and he believes in maintaining the highest standards of quality.
