About the Sociology scholarship 2019 entry

We are pleased to be offering two scholarships worth up to £3,000, specifically for postgraduate taught students applying to study criminology or social research methods courses with us for the 2019/20 academic year.

How to apply for the Sociology scholarship 2019 entry

You will automatically be considered for the scholarship competition if you meet the eligibility criteria listed previously.

Eligible applications will be assessed on grounds of academic merit and the written information provided with the standard University application form.

Applications will be evaluated by a committee comprising postgraduate programme directors and the head of department or a nominated deputy.

The scholarship will be paid in the form of a fee remission of the appropriate amount, and will be open to both home and overseas students. Part-time students will be eligible to apply and, if successful, will receive a scholarship which is reduced pro-rata but may be continued for a second year of study subject to successful completion of the first year.
