How to apply

Applications for the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences MSc scholarships can be made online by selecting the 'Apply for this course' option on the web page for the selected MSc programme.

To be considered for the Scholarship, applicants will need to cover the following points in their personal statement which should accompany the programme application:

  • What potential you have for outstanding performance on the programme - please note that this will be assessed both through evidence of your academic record to date and the quality of your written application.
  • What potential you have to become an outstanding professional in your selected subject area, and how your work experience to date points to exceptional achievements in relation to interests outside formal education.
  • How you show potential for being an effective ambassador for UWE Bristol when you return to your home country. You should show a grasp of British universities' agenda overseas and of successful ways of influencing potential audiences.
  • How you show concern for other students on your programme, evidencing contribution of a kind that is likely to enrich their experiences and not just your own.

Students who have deferred their application from academic year 2017/2018 to 2018/2019 will need to write another personal statement if they would like to be considered for the Scholarship and upload it via their UWE welcome portal.

They should clearly write and save the document as “Personal Statement for the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences MSc (International) Scholarship” before uploading via their welcome portal.

The submission deadline is 30 April 2018. Your application will be assessed by a Faculty panel that includes the programme leader, and candidates will be informed of the final decision by 30 May 2018.
