Successful candidates must be new undergraduate students with Home/ EU fee status in Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Modern Languages or European and International Studies (either as single honours, joint honours or as the major part of their Royal Holloway degree) or Dance (single honours only). For a complete list of eligible programmes, please follow this link. Student must have achieved minimum grades at GCE A-level of AAA or equivalent and enrol, in September 2017, on one of the programmes included in the scheme.

Scholarships are available for all applicants enrolling on an Electronic Engineering degree programme in September 2017. Each scholarship is worth £3,500 given as a cash award in the first year of a Royal Holloway undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering. New: These scholarships are now available to all applicants who meet the following criteria: made Royal Holloway their firm choice through the main UCAS application scheme meet the academic requirements for entry to an Electronic Engineering programme enrol on an Electronic Engineering degree programme starting in September 2017. These scholarships are offered as a cash award of £3,500 available in the first year of an eligible Royal Holloway degree. The award is given in three instalments and will be paid into the successful students’ bank accounts at the end of each academic term in December, March and June. The eligible degree programmes are: MEng Electronic Engineering BEng Electronic Engineering MEng Electronic Engineering with a Year in Industry BEng Electronic Engineering with a Year in Industry. This scholarship cannot be held at the same time as a Paul and Pamela Layzell Engineering Excellence scholarship.

Three scholarships are available to new undergraduates enrolling on an Electronic Engineering degree programme in September 2017. Each scholarship is worth £3,500, paid as a cash award in the first year of a Royal Holloway undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering. These scholarships seek to recognise and reward Home/EU students who have a keen interest and strong commitment to a career in Engineering. Applicants for this scholarship are required to be able to demonstrate their commitment to a career in Engineering at interview. This can be demonstrated in a number of different ways, such as through previous activities undertaken, relevant work experience, through their interest in building or deconstructing things and/or by holding relevant academic achievements, which are linked to Engineering. As well as performance at interview, information provided as part of the UCAS application will be taken into consideration.

A single competitive scholarship will be awarded in form of a cash award of £2,000. This scholarship is open to applicants who wish to enrol as a student (PhD, MSc by Research, MEng or BEng) at Royal Holloway, University of London for the academic year 2017/18. This award is being offered through the University of London's Convocation Trust. Applications for this scholarship will remain open until 8 September 2017 or until a competitive applicant has been selected for this scholarship, whichever occurs earlier. Once the scholarship has been awarded, applications will close. In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants must: hold an offer of a place for the academic year 2017/18 studies must relate to the field of electrical engineering, programmes which currently qualify under this category are undergraduate degrees in Electronic Engineering and postgraduate research degrees in the Power Systems Group (PhD or MSc by research) anticipate meeting all the conditions associated with their offer in time to enrol at Royal Holloway in 2017/18.

We have bursaries worth £1,500 for each year of undergraduate study for students from England with a family income of less than £25,000 a year. You can select from a cash award of up to £1,500 or a discount on your campus accommodation. Cash awards are normally paid by BACS in instalments. To be eligible for this bursary, you must be applying for a full-time undergraduate degree commencing in 2017 and have a family income of less than £25,000 as verified by the Student Loan Company (SLC). You must also be eligible for the full maintenance loan and be liable for the full tuition fees.
